Terms of Service
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Welcome to MyCV AI. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the MyCV AI website, applications, and services (the "Service"). Please read them carefully — they include important limitations on our liability and describe your responsibilities, particularly regarding AI-generated content and payments.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and MyCV AI ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, making a purchase, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
MyCV AI is a software-as-a-service platform for creating, managing, and exporting resumes (CVs) and related career documents. Features include a resume builder and templates, a master profile, AI-assisted tools such as resume tailoring, cover-letter generation, ATS analysis, translation and document import, and export to formats such as PDF and DOCX.
Certain features are metered and consume credits (see Section 7). We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all registration information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.
4. Your Account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. All activity under your account is your responsibility. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You may register only one account per person unless we expressly permit otherwise. We may refuse, suspend, or reclaim accounts at our reasonable discretion, including account names that infringe rights or are misleading.
5. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses third-party artificial-intelligence models to generate and transform content ("AI Output"). AI Output is produced automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or otherwise flawed, and may not be unique to you.
You must review, verify, and edit all AI Output before using it. You are solely responsible for every document you create with the Service and for everything you submit to employers or other third parties, including its truthfulness. We are not liable for any consequence of relying on AI Output without review.
You must not use the Service to include false or misleading claims about your qualifications, experience, or identity in documents presented to third parties as fact.
6. No Guarantee of Outcomes
The Service is a productivity tool. We do not promise or guarantee any outcome — including interviews, job offers, employment, or visa or immigration outcomes — nor that any resume will pass any applicant-tracking system (ATS). ATS scores, keyword matches, and similar analyses produced by the Service are estimates for guidance only and do not represent how any particular employer or system will evaluate your documents.
7. Credits, Plans, and Free Allowances
Metered AI features consume credits. Credit amounts, prices, and the cost of each feature are shown in the Service and may change prospectively at any time.
Subscription credits are granted monthly while your subscription is active and, unless stated otherwise, unused subscription credits roll over for a limited period (currently up to three months) while the subscription remains active. Subscription credits expire when the subscription ends.
One-time credit packs do not expire while your account remains in good standing. Free welcome allowances are one-time, per-account, non-transferable, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
Credits have no cash value, are not legal tender, and are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable except as expressly stated in these Terms or required by applicable law.
8. Payments and Subscriptions
Paid plans and credit packs are billed through our payment processors (currently Stripe) or, in supported countries, through a local bank-transfer process (see Section 9). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and periods already paid for are not refunded except as stated in Section 10.
Prices may vary by country and currency. Displayed local prices are intentional market pricing, not a currency conversion; in some countries the charge is settled in USD at the displayed equivalent, as noted at checkout. Prices may change; changes apply to future billing periods after reasonable notice.
You are responsible for any taxes, bank fees, or currency-exchange costs applied by your bank or payment provider.
9. Local Bank-Transfer Payments
In countries where we offer payment by local bank transfer, payments are verified manually. Credits or plan benefits are granted only after we verify the transfer, which may take time. You must submit accurate proof of payment (for example, a genuine transfer receipt).
Submitting forged, altered, or misleading payment evidence is fraud: we may permanently terminate the account, forfeit all credits, and report the matter to the relevant authorities. Purchases made by manual transfer are final once credits are granted, except where the law requires otherwise.
10. Refunds
The Service is a digital service delivered immediately. To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) credits that have been used are not refundable; (b) subscription fees for periods that have already started are not refundable; and (c) one-time credit packs may be refunded within 14 days of purchase only if entirely unused, at our reasonable discretion.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under applicable law. Where the law grants a withdrawal right for digital services, you acknowledge and agree that performance begins immediately upon purchase and that your withdrawal right lapses to the extent the service has been performed.
11. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at the address in Section 25 — most issues are resolved quickly. Initiating a payment dispute or chargeback that we reasonably determine to be unfounded is a violation of these Terms and may result in suspension of your account and forfeiture of credits until the matter is resolved.
12. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you upload to or create in the Service, including your resume data, profile information, and documents ("Your Content").
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, reproduce, and display Your Content solely as needed to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Service — including sending relevant parts of Your Content to third-party AI providers and payment-verification processors in order to deliver the features you request.
You represent that you hold all necessary rights to Your Content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law. We are not responsible for the content of your documents.
13. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to bypass credit limits, rate limits, quotas, or security measures; (c) access the Service using bots, scrapers, or other automated means, or use it to build a competing product; (d) reverse engineer, copy, resell, or sublicense the Service or its templates; (e) share, sell, or transfer accounts or credits; (f) upload malicious code or content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or harmful; (g) use AI features to generate content that is illegal or intended to deceive third parties about a person's identity; or (h) interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users.
We may investigate violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing content, withholding AI output, suspending or terminating accounts, and forfeiting credits obtained or used in violation of these Terms.
14. Intellectual Property
The Service — including its software, design, templates, branding, and all content other than Your Content — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal job-search purposes.
Documents you export that contain Your Content are yours to use. The underlying template designs remain ours and may not be extracted, redistributed, or sold.
15. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including AI model providers, payment processors, and hosting infrastructure. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their acts and omissions. Your use of third-party payment services may also be subject to those providers' own terms.
16. Service Availability and Changes
We aim to provide a reliable Service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or events beyond our control. Features marked beta or experimental are provided without any commitments and may change or be removed at any time.
17. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, if required by law, if your account is involved in fraud or abuse, or if we discontinue the Service.
Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends and remaining credits lapse; where termination results from your violation or fraud, credits and fees are forfeited to the extent permitted by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) survive.
18. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all AI Output are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory — including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that its results will be accurate or reliable.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost business, or lost employment opportunities, even if advised of the possibility; and (b) our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty (50) US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent the law permits. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
20. Indemnification
You will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us, our owner, and our staff from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to Your Content, your use of the Service, your dealings with employers or other third parties, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
21. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us. By using AI features, you acknowledge that the content you submit to those features is processed by third-party AI providers on our behalf for the purpose of delivering the feature.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will give reasonable advance notice — for example, by email or an in-Service notice. Changes apply from the stated effective date; your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the Service before it takes effect.
23. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and — unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere — disputes shall be brought before the competent courts of that country. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute amicably within thirty (30) days.
24. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect, and the unenforceable provision is replaced by a valid one that most closely reflects its intent. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any terms presented at purchase, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
